Mark Alfaro of Peak Finders is leading a spin class on Tuesdays at Pulse Endurance in Chula Vista from 6pm-7:30pm

It seems crazy right? Get on your bike for an hour and a half and not go anywhere. It’s stupid, I know. However, it’s incredibly beneficial. When you’re stationary on a trainer for that long you’re getting a really great workout. When you’re on the road, you have to obey street signs and watch out for cars. It’s easy to throttle back and coast down a hill, as well.

On the trainer, you can stay focus the entire time. You can do drills, like single-leg pedaling and you don’t have to worry about 18 year old kid with their fresh new license in hand. As hard as it is mentally, the benefits far and away outweigh the negative aspects of spin.

So, grab you’re stuff and come on out. It’ll be fun.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • $50 for 8 weeks of class
  • Your bike
  • A trainer (Pulse has them for sale and rent)
  • Hydration
  • Snacks
  • Heart Monitor (optional)

See ya there!
